RM1.8mil … for a Facebook page?

The Tourism Ministry came under fire again today, as MPs questioned why it had spent RM1.8 million to start and maintain its Facebook page – yet another on the list of controversial projects. Anthony Loke (DAP-Rasah) slammed the decision to use so much money when the social networking site can be used free of charge. Full story: www.malaysiakini.com

    Is a good initiative tourism msia promoting msia through social media creatively and no harm of spending money. Being a govermnt body you need to spend for marketing n publisiti… Somehow this one cost sound ridiculus bcos the KPI does not justify..
    We are not unreasonable rakyat .. So let’s see what kind of return from this huge spending. Bring back UZk, Germans, Dutch, australia, japanese, china, Hong Kong tourist and not illegal migrants which is more than tourist

    There are so many poor malaysian living in poverty out there. Use the 1.8mil to make Malaysia a better place than doing this stupid page. By the way, this page is not going to attract any tourist because first of all, the government need to make sure our country is safe. Do you think our country is safe with those illegal immigrants? The government need to think wisely. Mana boleh maju kalau macam ini. Hancurlah kita kalau ini berterusan

    i really wish i can work with them. 1.8 million for maintaining facebook ? my god i never expect life would be greater than working with malaysian government :D

    MCA is ‘pure breed’ Malaysia Kennel Association UMNO Dogs. It’s quality, fat and fluffy,always wag it’s tails and never disobey it’s owner. There’s a plus point too, can save up on dog food cause they eat shit as their daily meals.

    You know what was stupid about that game? You can actually just use Cheat Engine and hack the scores. After more than 1 year later, I received what appears to be a letter saying that I received a consolation prize and a stupid doll.
